Where Is the Cruise Ship Rotterdam Now?

By Anna Duncan

The Rotterdam is a cruise ship that is owned by Holland America Line, a cruise line that is part of the Carnival Corporation & plc. The ship was built in 1997 and has been in service ever since. The Rotterdam has an impressive list of amenities and features, including 12 restaurants, multiple bars, an onboard spa and fitness center, two pools, and a theater.

The ship’s main itinerary is to travel around the Caribbean and Mediterranean Sea. It also offers excursions to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, New England/New York, Panama Canal, Mexico and the South Pacific. The ship often visits ports in the United States such as Los Angeles, New Orleans, Miami and San Francisco.

The Rotterdam was last seen in February 2020 when it left Los Angeles on its way to Hawaii. After its Hawaiian cruise ended in March 2020 it made its way back to Los Angeles. Since then it has not been seen again as all cruises were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

As of June 2020 the Rotterdam is currently located somewhere off the coast of California. Its exact location is unknown but it is believed that it is still moving from port to port as part of its maintenance routine.

Conclusion:

The Cruise Ship Rotterdam has not been seen since March 2020 when it returned from Hawaii. As of June 2020 however it is still believed to be located somewhere off the coast of California although its exact location remains unknown. It is likely that the ship will remain there until cruises resume after the Covid-19 pandemic subsides.
