Did I Ever Tell You the Time I Went Backpacking Through Western Europe?

By Alice Nichols

I had always wanted to travel the world as a backpacker, but I never had the money or free time to do it. That all changed in the summer of 2018 when I decided to take a month off and go backpacking through Western Europe!

I started my journey in Paris, France. I stayed there for a few days and visited all the famous sights like the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, and Notre Dame Cathedral. I also took some time to explore the city and get to know the locals – they were so friendly and welcoming!

From there, I traveled by train throughout Europe – including stops in Amsterdam, Vienna, Brussels, Prague, Berlin, and Rome. Each city was so unique and had its own culture that I loved exploring. In each place, I made sure to try out some of the local cuisine – which was delicious!

I also went on some amazing day trips while backpacking through Western Europe. One of my favorites was a hike along the Swiss Alps – it was so beautiful! On another day trip, I traveled along part of the Danube River in Vienna – which was breathtaking.

The best part about backpacking through Western Europe was meeting people from all over the world. Everyone was so friendly and we shared stories about our travels and cultures. It was wonderful getting to connect with people from different backgrounds!

All in all, my backpacking experience in Western Europe was incredible. Not only did I get to visit some amazing places but also meet amazing people along the way. It’s definitely an experience that I will never forget!

Did I ever tell you the time I went backpacking through Western Europe? Absolutely! It’s an experience that has stayed with me forever- full of unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
