Did I Ever Tell You the Time I Went Backpacking Across Western Europe?

By Alice Nichols

I had always been interested in travelling to Europe and seeing the world, but I had never considered taking a backpacking trip until one summer when I finally decided to take the plunge. After months of planning and research, I was ready for my grand tour of Western Europe.

To start off my journey, I flew into London and spent a few days exploring the city. From there, I caught a train to Paris where I took in the sights of the Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame Cathedral.

After two days in Paris, it was time for me to head further south. So, I hopped on a train to Madrid and immersed myself in Spanish culture.

Next stop was Rome where I explored ancient ruins such as the Colosseum and Pantheon. From there, I travelled by train to Florence where I could appreciate the artworks of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Afterwards, it was off to Venice where I took a romantic gondola ride through its canals before catching another train across Austria.

The last leg of my journey took me through Germany and The Netherlands before arriving back in London after three weeks on the road. Although exhausting at times, my backpacking adventure through Western Europe was an incredible experience that will stay with me forever!

Conclusion:

Did I ever tell you about the time when I went backpacking across Western Europe? It was an amazing journey that will stay with me forever!
