Is the Cruise Ship Still in Duluth?

By Alice Nichols

The cruise ship MV Infinity was supposed to be one of the most luxurious vessels in the world. The passenger capacity was estimated at 2,500, and the onboard amenities were expected to be top-notch. Unfortunately, it never made it to Duluth, Minnesota, where it was planned to dock for a few days before setting sail for its maiden voyage.

In August 2019, the MV Infinity set sail from its home port in Singapore. It made stops in several ports along the way, including Shanghai and Hong Kong. But when it reached its destination of Duluth, Minnesota on November 7th 2019, there were some unexpected delays that caused it to miss its scheduled date of departure.

The delays were due to a variety of factors. First and foremost, the ship needed to be cleared by customs and immigration officials.

This process took longer than expected due to a large number of passengers on board who needed to be screened and processed. Additionally, there were mechanical issues with the ship’s engines that needed to be addressed before departure.

To make matters worse, the weather in Duluth during this time was less than ideal for sailing. Strong winds and choppy waters caused further difficulties for the cruise ship’s crew as they attempted to get the vessel ready for departure.

Despite all these obstacles, however, there is still hope that the MV Infinity will eventually make it out of Duluth and onto its next destination. The crew has been working hard to get all the necessary repairs completed and has been in contact with local officials about getting clearance from customs and immigration.

Conclusion:

Is the Cruise Ship Still in Duluth? It appears that at present time it is still docked in Duluth but with all necessary repairs being completed as well as clearance from local officials being sought after; there is still hope that one day soon MV Infinity will set sail on its maiden voyage.
