Who Jumped From Cruise Ship?

By Robert Palmer

On Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 a passenger on a Caribbean cruise ship jumped overboard and has since been missing. The cruise ship, Carnival Horizon, had departed from Miami, Florida that same morning and was headed on a seven-day voyage to the Caribbean Island of St. Maarten.

The victim is identified as 24-year-old Kyle Warren, who had boarded the ship along with his fiancée Anna Jones. The couple were planning to get married during their trip to St. According to authorities, the incident took place at approximately 12:50 pm when Mr. Warren jumped off the 13th deck of the ship in an apparent suicide attempt.

Witnesses on board the ship reported that Mr. Warren seemed to be in a state of distress prior to jumping overboard. His fiancée Anna recalled him telling her he was “going for a walk” before he left their cabin and she never saw him again until after he had already gone over the side of the ship.

The Carnival Horizon immediately launched an emergency search operation for Mr. Warren but were unable to locate him in time due to strong winds and rough seas in the area at that time. The U.S Coast Guard also joined in the search but called off their efforts after two days due to bad weather conditions and no sign of Mr. Warren.

Conclusion:

It is still unclear why Kyle Warren decided to jump off the Carnival Horizon cruise ship or where his whereabouts are currently unknown; however, authorities are still investigating his disappearance and are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact them as soon as possible.
